Signs of Restoration

On Monday of this week I received the words, “It’s gone, you are cancer free”. Hearing these words brought a great sigh of relief and I am praising God for this victory. One of my great joys has come with the fact that I am beginning to see real signs of restoration. These signs are coming in the form of something that used to drive me crazy… black roots.

Yes that’s right, I have a multitude of tiny black hairs growing in and I’m thrilled. What used to send me reaching for the bottle of hair color is now serving as a reminder to me that God is faithful to his word:

And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 1 Peter 5:10

As a wait for my total restoration I’m thanking God that my suffering has an end and that my restoration has an author who said that He would see to it Himself. All praise and glory be to God!

This is such wonderful news and I’m so grateful that you are finally seeing progress on your recovery!

You are an incredible person Sheree and I admire your strength and courage more than you will ever know.

I’m also excited about your “black roots” ….A new look for you maybe? I think you would be sassy as a brunette!

Sheree, great news! If you feel like you are emerging from a long tunnel, you are… literally and figuratively! Blond or brunette, you continue to inspire us with your faith, strength, and humor. Isn’t brunette the new blond? Rock on!… at your own pace. Sending love and prayers, Mary

Praise the Lord for dark roots! Did you ever imagine you’d be so delighted to see dark roots? Doesn’t God have a sense of humor? It’s good to see you still have your sense of humor.
    Still praying for you.

Praise the Lord for this great news!

I find even your dark roots to be so meaningful, as God often has spoken to me in “bold.” =)
Please keep us informed on your saliva and dietary situation.

    Love,

Sheree, I attended the end of Summer Study last night with Mary Sorrentino and want to thank you for sharing your story, it brought me to my knees. It was/is awesome to hear how God is working in your life and healing you both body and renewing your spirit. I didn’t realize that I was in my own “storm” until last night, thank you for bringing to light my own battle.
I pray for your continued health for both body and spirit.
Thank you again for listening to the Lord and for sharing your storm.
    Love and blessings,
    Terri
